Special Education

Special education is the individually designed and thoroughly monitored collection of teaching measures, tailored tools and materials, reachable settings, and other interventions intended to help students with special needs attain the best possible self-reliance and success within a school and community. These classes are designated for students who have learning and or communication struggles, emotional and behavioral disorders, physical disabilities, or developmental disorders. Many schools have created classes exclusively planned to help every student capitalize on their learning potential while also letting them attend classes with their classmates. Teachers are faced with the challenge of finding a curriculum and material that complements the individual and his or her needs. Similar to non-special educational classes, special education students gain and understand knowledge at different rates. With that begin said, teachers must adjust their curriculum in order to fit the needs and interests of all children.
